The Alignment Phenomenon
It started with a bold decision to shift—to make a deeply personal pivot from being who people expected me to be to stepping boldly into who I felt called to be. I immediately lost support and was met with unprecedented difficulties. That’s when I first experienced what I now call The Alignment Phenomenon—an inexplicable, often painful, instantaneous disruption that accompanies acts of courage and faith. At the time, it felt like my world was unraveling.
But as the years went on, and with each subsequent pivot, I leaned on my motto Cry But Don’t Quit. With every loss came pain, yet each disruption became a marker—a portal signaling elevation, breakthroughs, growth, and self-discovery. This was the journey of reaching full Alignment: it cleared the road, brought the right relationships, and opened the door to healing, fulfillment, and the life I was truly meant to live.

India Miles, is an American businesswoman, author, motivational speaker, and success architect, who understands firsthand what it takes to build a life from vision alone—without shortcuts, guarantees, or a safety net. Raised on a rural farm in Buckingham County, Virginia, and married at just sixteen, she was undeterred by difficult circumstances. With no roadmap but a clear vision, India transformed adversity into opportunity, becoming the architect of the life she once only imagined—a testament to the values that guided her journey. Holding a degree in Business Management and drawing on more than 20 years of experience in banking, personal development, and career mentorship—including business development—she combines practical expertise with lived experience to help women turn vision into measurable success.
Her personal transformation company Cry But Don’t Quit™ was born from this very ethos: the belief that women can persist, even in the face of life’s most formidable challenges. More than a motto, it has evolved into a movement—one that equips women through books, media, and coaching to use setbacks as catalysts, to step fully into the lives they were meant to live. India’s vision is translated through her book, Cry But Don’t Quit: 9 Steps to Living Your Best Life Now, The Cry But Don’t Quit™ Show, and her bespoke success coaching with clients striving to transform ambition into achievement.
Recognized with the 2020 Superwoman Award—and as a wife, mother of two daughters, and avid hiker—India continues to teach The Alignment Phenomenon: the disruptive, often painful occurrence of events that transpire when moving from comfort to calling. By living these principles herself, she offers women not just guidance, but proof that true alignment, though challenging, is the path to realizing one’s highest potential.
